  • Intro:

Tavria season's went from bad to worse as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at home to Sevastapol in the Ukraine Premier League on Thursday.

    Script:

Tavria knew a win at home to Sevastapol would move them out of the Ukrainian Premier League relegation zone and into 14th.

A defeat, and their relegation worries would grow.

After an even start, Tavria fell behind seven minutes before the break.

Kostyantyn Yaroshenko's deflected shot leaving the keeper no chance at all.

Any hopes of a second half comeback were dismissed in the 67th minute.

Sergey Kuznetsov threaded the ball through to Alexander Karavaev, who eased past Tavria goalkeeper Sergey Pogorelyj to make it 2-0.

Marin Ljubicic had a chance late on to reduce the deficit, but his shot summed up Tavria's season.

It ended 2-0 to Sevastapol and so Tavria's situation worsens.

Nikolay Kostov's team have collected just nine points from 23 matches this season.
