The weather was cooperating as the final round of the OneAsia Tour's SK Telecom Open teed off at Sky 72 Golf Club in South Korea on Sunday.

Local favourite K.J. Choi made a final day run at the top of the leaderboard, finishing with a birdie at the 18th hole for a four-under-par final round 68.

But the PGA veteran had too much ground to make up and ended three shots off the winning score on eight-under.

David Bransdon also made a charge on Sunday, moving to nine-under with a birdie at the ninth.

The title would come down to a fight between three South Koreans, with Lee Tae-hee taking the lead with a birdie at 17.

But Kim Kyung-tae then birdied the hole to join him on ten-under.

Also at ten-under was Kim Seung-hyuk, who took the advantage on 18 after his approach set up an easy birdie.

With Lee Tae-hee and Kim Kyung-tae carding pars at 18, Kim Seung-hyuk needed a birdie to win and he did just that, knocking down his putt for a two-under 70 that saw finish on eleven-under and take the SK Telecom Open by a single shot.

The title is the 28-year-old's first tournament in a professional career that started in 2005.
