The men's singles, the men's doubles and the mixed doubles competitions came to a conclusion at the Japanese Open on Sunday.

In the men's singles China's Hu Yun was unable to replicate the kind of form that allowed him to make a surprise appearance in the final.

Yun, the World No 15, was little match for Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia, who has been in a record number of World Super Series finals, and who went on to complete a 21-14, 21-12 victory to claim the men's title.

In the doubles, the top seeds and top-ranked Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan took on Korean fifth-seeded pair Lee Yong Dae and Yoo Yeon Seong.

Despite a late fightback in the second game from Ahsan and Setiawan, Lee and Yoo sealed a surprise win - 21-12, 26-24.

In the mixed doubles final, Michael Fuchs and Birgit Michels of Germany faced defending champions Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei of China.

As expected the Chinese pair won in the end, storming to a 21-12, 21-16 victory to seal back-to-back titles at the conclusion of the Japanese Open.
