SOUNDBITE (English) Paul Lambert, Aston Villa coach:(On Villa's overall performance and how pleased he was with the three points)
"I thought the way that we played was excellent. I thought it was one of those games sometimes, you know, the movement, the passing was so sharp, the motivation of the lads, their willingness to go and win the game was excellent and Hull put us under pressure in the second half, which I knew they would, but the important thing was to see it through and that was a big result for that."
SOUNDBITE (English) Paul Lambert, Aston Villa coach:(On the late injury to captain Ron Vlaar)
"He... I think he just went up for a header and he's come down on his calf and we just have top see how he is, but the good thing is that we have a fortnight recovery really (due to the international break) and we'll see how he is, but I think I always knew that was kind of going to happen. After the World Cup, he's not really had much rest and that's the danger when you have lads that have been in the World Cup. There has not been too much rest for them."
