SOUNDBITE: (English) Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager
"Yes we had a good start and I believe overall it was a very intense game between two very good teams where you had to fight for every ball and be focused. I felt we had a good combination between our usual game, our passing game and transition from defence to attack. We were highly focussed to defend well from the first until the last minute and overall I think we looked always dangerous. Defensively as a team we were very good."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager (on qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League for each of the last 15 seasons)
"I think when you work in football you realise that it's not easy to have continuity and to be consistent and I am very proud of that. I think as well the club deserves a lot of credit for that. It's not enough because we want more than that but we are consistent."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager (on improving Arsenal in the knockout stages of the competition)
"First, to send a different guy to the draw because if you look at our last five or six years we got always just what we didn't want. And then from now until the end of February, improve as a team. Gain encouragement from tonight's game and then hope that we have nearly all of our players back in the next round."
