Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez and John Smoltz, a trio of star pitchers, were elected to baseball's Hall of Fame along with Craig Biggio on Wednesday - the first time since 1955 writers selected four players in a single year.

    Script:

    SOUNDBITE: (English) John Smoltz:

"I'm like blown away thinking about his class and these guys. I hated facing Pedro, luckily never had to face Randy and didn't like facing Craig Biggio, so I'm honoured to be with these guys."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Pedro Martinez:

"The fact that I made it over 90 - oh my God, I couldn't ask for more. It's unreal. The minimum would of been great for me. Remember I was second guessed to be here. And today I can say I'm here. I was supposed to be to fragile. I was supposed to break down on the way over. And I'm here to answer your questions. I'm extremely honoured to having been selected. Period."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Craig Biggio:

"I'm really looking forward to getting back there and seeing all the history again, or seeing all the history that they saw and being part of that. I mean it's crazy. We've all said it. We're part of history now. Things my kids are seeing now, which we saw as little kids. as we are were at one time. We're part of that. And I'm really looking forward to that weekend."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Pedro Martinez:

"And now being part of it and being looked at as an old goat. Because that's what we've all become now. The kids are going to be like 'oh look that's Pedro, that's John, that was back then.' So we all became old goats after yesterday."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Randy Johnson:

"Initially I wasn't intimidating. No one wanted to face me because they were afraid I was going to hit them. And it wasn't on purpose it was just because I didn't know where it was going. Eventually when I could harness my ability at six foot ten and I knew where a 95 to a 100 mile-an-hour fastball was going, then I had fun."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Pedro Martinez:

"Yankees fans cannot - win or nothing. And They're going to boo you and they're going to call you who's your daddy for as long as they can. They are going to chant it until you go away!"
