Reaction from round one leader Bernd Wiesberger and other contenders on Thursday at the Dubai Desert Classic.

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Rory McIlroy, six-under-par:

"Yeah, it was good. A little disappointing to bogey the last but the golf I played up until then was nice and it's a solid start. I felt like I hit the ball very well for the most part and gave myself plenty of birdie chances and was able to convert a few more of them than I was doing in Abu Dhabi a couple of weeks ago. So putted nicely and definitely something to build on for the next few days."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Lee Westwood, seven-under-par:

"Yeah, I'm very relaxed. I'm in a good frame of mind and my game's in good shape. I'm rolling a few putts in which has obviously been missing for a while and that came the end of last year in Thailand. Been working on it over the winter and a bit on my fitness and it felt good today."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Andy Sullivan, seven-under-par:

"Ah, it's just one of the best days of my life isn't it really, let's be honest. To play with Rory (McIlroy) and Martin (Kaymer) is absolutely awesome anyway and to go out and play in the manner I did, it was absolutely fantastic, but they made me feel quite comfortable out there. I was a bit nervous on the first tee but they made me feel really comfortable and it showed in my golf. I played really well today."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Nicolas Colsearts, seven-under-par:

"Well, very happy because I was very comfortable being six, seven, eight-under. I thought it could have been a lot lower, to be fair. I missed a bunch of 12, 15-footers I thought I had really good looks at. I wasn't very good off the tee, not good enough, but then second shots into the green were exceptionally good so a bit mixed feelings, to be fair."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Bernd Wiesberger, eight-under-par:

"Yeah, it was a special day, a special back-nine today. Played really well from nine onwards really. I had a lot of birdies and, you know, I didn't quite jump off that train really and it was nice to get to eight-under-par."
