"We face a team that, they are full of confidence. We've got a team that scored six goals away from home in their last two games. Obviously, they are in a very good moment of their season, if not the best moment of their season and we're well aware how difficult it is to play this side. For us, it's been a bit of a bogey side in the last three games. Always games at Goodison, we have a lot of games, very much open games. They bring a lot of threat and pace and they defend extremely well. They are a team that is very well organised. Obviously with a new manager coming in, they are going to be just adapting to a different way of playing but while that transition is happening, I think they're full of confidence and they are a very dangerous team to play against. That's the only thing we're facing, is a team with a lot of confidence and that's the only thing that matters to us."

"Alan Pardew, it seems a real natural fit when you go back to a football club that you know inside out because of his playing days. I think it makes it a lot easier. And obviously the players, they feel that they can show what they can do. You get a couple of good results and all this, so then the team oozes confidence."

"We know that we're in a position that we want to get more points and we have to know how to get those points. That's what we're really excited about, is that we've got a real good opportunity on Saturday to just to be ourselves and start enjoying our football again in the league and make sure that we can get one positive result and kickstart our season in the league. And that's the focus, it's as simple as that."
