'Hammers' Adrián scares strikers' - Allardyce

  • Intro:

Reaction after Sam Allardyce's West Ham United draw 0-0 at Chris Ramsey's Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League, thanks in large part to Hammers goalkeeper Adrián, who saved a penalty by Charlie Austin.

SOUNDBITE: (English), Sam Allardyce (on goalkeeper Adrian):

"It spreads fear across the Premier League because everybody will know he saved three on the trot now. So anybody who gets a penalty they will be even more nervous when they face him. Like I said, goalkeepers are second most important member of your team past your goal scorers - and he has proven that today because he, with that save, has won us a point."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Chris Ramsey:

"Difficult. It was difficult before the game and it makes it more difficult because other teams have done well and we've done fair today. We just haven't had that little bit of quality that we need to score the goals from around the pitch. Obviously Charlie (Austin) is devastated about the penalty but he himself knows that he has contributed to our season greatly and I would say a lot of the points that we have accumulated are down to him."
