    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Mark Sampson, England head coach: (On the special occasion that was the sold out quarter-final win over Canada)

"The hairs on the back of the neck stood up when Christine Sinclair went to speak before the game. The crowd erupted and stood up and I thought it showed what respect there is for the women's game in this country. The atmosphere on the day was great to be part of. It's something this team will remember for the rest of their lives. We've had some great experiences together at Wembley in England, but that experience yesterday was really special. That roar when they scored, the roar for the free kick when (Erin) McLeod went to take it. You really had to stand up strong and I'm proud of how the team did that."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Mark Sampson, England head coach: (On if local fans might turn against England after they knocked out the host country Canada)

"If it means we're still here and still winning then we are more than happy to play that pantomime villain role. I really hope not, I really hope the way this team conducted themselves and the spirit it's shown representing our country with great pride and passion, I hope the sports fans will respect that and hopefully the neutrals will respect this England team that are rank outsiders of this team at the moment."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jodie Taylor, England striker: (On how the team is feeling the day after such a big win)

"Last night there was obviously a lot of happiness and celebration. Woke up this morning for the flight focused and ready to go for Wednesday."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jodie Taylor, England striker: (On Japan)

"They are a great team, got a lot of respect for them, admire them as footballers. I've watched them for years. There's something special going on in our team right now. We have a lot of belief in how we are playing and progressing in the tournament. Should be a good game."
