  • Intro:

Action from the Colombian Open tennis final between Bernard Tomic and Adrian Mannarino

    Script:

Bernard Tomic took on Adrian Mannarino in the final of the Claro Open Colombia on Sunday with the Australia aiming to defend his 2014 title.

After a tense start to the match, Tomic broke his French opponent in the fourth game having worked Mannarino around the court.

From there, he powered through the set taking it 6-1 to put take control of the match.

But the Australian didn't have it all his own way.

Mannarino showed plenty of fighting spirit -- and finesse -- to take the second set 6-3 and force the match into a deciding third set.

But Tomic would not be denied.

A double fault on match point from Mannarino handed his opponent the title, after Tomic had dominated the third set to win 6-1, 3-6, 6-2.
