David Rudisha clinched his second 800 metres world title on day four of the World Championships in Beijing, China on Tuesday (25th August).

Plenty of action to get through at the Athletics World Championships in Beijing on Tuesday, but we start with a magnificent gold medal for Great Britain.

Greg Rutherford added to his Olympic, European and Commonwealth titles with gold in China, a season best jump of 8.41 enough to secure top spot.

Meanwhile, in the women's 400m semi-finals, Bahamas' Shaunae Miller won the first semi, while defending champion Christine Ohuruogu led the way in the second.

There were seven heats in the men's 200 metres, Usain Bolt won his in 20.28 seconds, moving a step closer to completing a third 100/200m double at the World Championships.

In the men's 400m hurdles final, Michael Tinsley was hoping to capitalise on defending champion Jehue Gordon's failure to qualify.

Unfortunately for the American his race did not go to plan, and Nicholas Bett took full advantage as he finished strongly to secure the gold medal with the fastest time this year.

Finally, in the men's 800m final, David Rudisha marked his return to the world stage following injury with a winning time.
