  • SuggestedLeadIn: South Africa captain Faf du Plessis hailed his bowlers as his side completed a 2-0 T20 series win over India in a match hit by crowd trouble in Cuttack

"The way you start coming to India is extremely important. Starting with a couple of losses it's hard to pull yourself back up - the conditions obviously, when India is on top they play really well. So it was really important for us from a T20 perspective because we are the team that is starting the tour, that we hit our straps from the very beginning and we did that. I thought today was possibly the best bowling performance that I've seen from us ever in T20 cricket. It was amazing to see - all the bowlers were fantastic."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Faf du Plessis:

"It's not nice to see that. I've played five, six years in India cricket and I've never seen that. So you don't want that to be part of the game. You want to come here and compete and the best team walk away winning. To have that happening, I don't think it is nice for cricket, it shouldn't happen, and even the way the game was played at the end it lost it's intensity because obviously India thought we had already won because we only needed 20 runs. Disappointing in that sense and hopefully that is the first and the last time we see that in this tour."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Faf du Plessis:

"I suppose it is a difficult question for me to answer. I can say that all around the world you get people who are really passionate about their team and then their country and then sometimes I suppose you cross that boundary where you shouldn't. It's the first time I've experienced in India, so I can't say it is something that's happened a lot. As you say, it is something that happens a lot in sub continent conditions or places. That's definitely to do with the passion I suppose that the fans do have. But it's not something we as players want as part of the game - obviously players security is very important wherever you go across the world. So let's just hope it is a bad day at the office."
