Ogier finds form in Wales

  • Sebastien Ogier once-again tops the field following the WRC Rally GB shakedown on Thursday (12th November).

As the World Rally Championship season draws to a close, the Rally GB got underway in Wales on Thursday.

World champion Sebastien Ogier was back on form with the fastest time of the shakedown - two minutes, 1.4 seconds.

Tied with him at the top was his team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala.

Kris Meeke is looking to put a frustrating season behind him with a good result in Wales, and started well with a third-place finish.

Meeke is currently fifth in the driver's standings - just ahead of Thierry Neuville.

Formula 1 development driver Susie Wolff was also at the shakedown, riding as Meeke's co-driver for a portion of the session.

The uneven and unpredictable nature of the track seemed to be a shock for Wolff as she temporarily traded the smooth tarmac of F1 for rally in north Wales.
