Reaction from stand-in captain Jos Buttler after England beat Pakistan by three runs in the second Twenty20 match in Dubai, UAE on Friday (27th November) to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series ahead of the final match in Sharjah on Monday (30th November).
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jos Buttler, stand-in England Twenty20 captain:
"We didn't play our best with the bat and we weren't very, fluent throughout our innings, yet we got up to 170, which was no mean feat, without anyone going on and making that match defining innings. And again with the ball, I think, most of the bowlers would say one of their overs wasn't quite as they would like it, but I can't speak highly enough of everyone who came.... Liam Plunkett, obviously had a tough first over and came back and put in a man-of-the-match performance to take wickets. Everyone, really stuck their hand up. Stephen Parry to bowl that over in the powerplay and get us that wicket (removing Ahmed Shehzad for 28), which we desperately needed as well. So, I think it was a performance full of character."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jos Buttler, stand-in England Twenty20 captain:
"To go to a World Cup knowing that everyone's had experience, in these conditions and not searching for something they haven't done before, at a World Cup. So that's a great place to be for the individuals and the team and it definitely shows that there's a lot of competition there and you think about some of the guys who aren't in this squad as well, the likes of Ben Stokes at home, Steven Finn and, obviously Stuart Broad I'm sure wants to play a part in it as well. So there's plenty of competition."
