Winner Danny Willett (269), 2015 champion Rory McIlroy (273) and tied runner-up Rafa Cabrero-Bello talk focus and, in McIlroy's case, what could have been after the Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday (7th February).
SOUNDBITE (English) Danny Willett, winner:
[Picking up the trophy] "It's a bit heavy, that."
"The screen on the final green flickered to the final scores and obviously it was all three of us on 18 (-under) so I had to step back and refocus. I had a good line and we have just tried to go through good processes all week. I said at the beginning of the week mentally I feel I have been pretty good and stayed on top of myself and tried not to get too down.
"Raf [Cabrera-Bello] kept on putting on birdies and on 17 and 18 they were tremendous. Obviously I heard the cheering and we though that Sully [Andy Sullivan] had made birdie on 18 so when you have got to do something and you actually do it it's always nice."
SOUNDBITE (English) Rory McIlroy, 15-under:
"It's sort of a week of what could have been. There was a lot of really good golf in there. I played a lot of great shots and made a lot of birdies but just made a few too many mistakes as well. I'll rue the two front nines that I played on Friday (5th) and Saturday (6th February). I played the combined front nine five-over-par there and if I hadn't have done that things could have been different.
"After I birdied 15, with those the three holes coming up 16, 17, 18 - if I could finish with three threes - you never know what could happen."
SOUNDBITE (English) Rafa Cabrera-Bello, 18-under:
"I am just proud of myself. I mean obviously I am disappointed that I didn't get to win but I know, playing like this, it is around the corner."
