  • MotoGP riders Andrea Iannone and Dani Pedrosa spoke to the International Space Station on Wednesday (6th April) - ahead of the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) and Iannone (Ducati Team) were given an exclusive inside look at the Johnson Space Center in Texas alongside ex-Moto GP rider Kevin Schwantz.

    SOUNDBITE (English): Dani Pedrosa, Repsol Honda rider (talking to the international space station):

    "Hello this is Dani, I'm watching you from the Earth. It's a super experience. I'm super happy to be here."

    "Thank you, that's a good welcome."

    SOUNDBITE (English): Andrea Iannone Ducati rider (talking to the international space station):

    "This week we have a race in Austin. We hope it's a really good race. This is an experience I'll remember all my life because I could never imagine this."

    (Astronaut Tim Peake: "We thought we had an exciting weekend coming up because we have to capture a space craft on Sunday but I think you guys have a much more interesting weekend coming up. We'll have to see if we can catch up on the internet.")
