Aguilar on top at China Open

Saturday, April 30 2016 by SNTV
  • Felipe Aguilar of Chile shot a second-round 65 on Friday (29th April) to claim a one-stroke lead when play was suspended at the China Open in Beijing.

The China Open continued in Beijing on Friday with round two.

Thursday’s play saw a stunning hole in one from Rikard Karlberg - this time it was the turn of Taehoon Kim to repeat the feat at the 13th.

Kim's ace helped him to a share of fourth place at nine-under.

Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts fired in his own contender for shot of the day with this monster putt for a birdie at the sixth.

Alex Noren had a strong round, carding a flawless 67 to finish the day alone in second place.

Poor light and the threat of thunderstorms ended play early - meaning overnight leader Hennie Otto was among those yet to complete round two.

With some of the frontrunner yet to play Felipe Aguilar claimed top spot thanks to an error free 65, giving him a one stroke lead.
