  • Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has criticised their early kick off in the Premier League match against Swansea City on Saturday. Liverpool play in south Wales just 56 hours after returning from Spain.

"I don't want to make headlines. I don't want to come from Germany and tell people how it works or how it is. Maybe for a few people it is funny but it is not really funny. I don't think anybody here thinks we should start at 12. I think we could have started at two or four - so four hours more. That sounds absolutely ok. We have to travel to Cardiff. Then drive to Swansea for one hour. If someone wants to make our way a little bit harder - no problem. We are ready. To be honest, maybe it was my fault because I had no idea whether I could jump in or not but I could not imagine before that something like this could happen. Now I know it is 12 o'clock and we will play at 12 o'clock. It will not be an excuse. It will not be an excuse for anything. I only wanted to say it's maybe for a few people funny. But it's not really funny."

"He is a great guy to be honest. But I had something like half an hour with him on the pitch. He was so unlucky - I can't believe (it). Since then I know much more about him as a person than a professional football player. So if he is as good as a player as a person then I am really looking forward to seeing him on the pitch."
