"It's massive. It's massive for golf in Sweden, it's massive for me as an athlete to accomplish a childhood dream, really, to win the Open championship, to be a major champion. I've had a very successful and long career, but that was definitely the icing on the cake and a very proud moment. For some reason I felt it was going to be possible this week, like it was my week. I've been up there a few times, put myself in contention and this time I felt like I wanted to go all the way, I believed that I could go all the way. I played some great golf and Phil (Mickelson) did as well. We were throwing punches at each other for basically 36 holes and it was just a two-man race and I was so 'zoned in' on what I was doing and playing one shot at a time, I didn't even realise I made ten bogeys, shot 63. I knew at the turn that we were four, five under, somewhere round there, but I didn't know what my final score was and what record I'd broken. So yeah, definitely a nice little added bonus and I will enjoy that as long as it stands. It's been a very humbling experience and I'm just so proud to have my name on that trophy."

"His performance was amazing. I'm really, really happy for him. He played awesome and he's deserved it for quite a while now."

"It was incredible for Henrik. To see him break through, it was such a popular win as well, because we know how hard he works and some of the battles that he's had to go through in his career, so that to come out the other end and get that major, it's really well deserved."

"Great would be one adjective. I would say absolutely dominant and phenomenal. Not that surprising in the sense that Henrik has that ability, you know? He hits it so straight and so good."
