  • England cricket coach, Trevor Bayliss, has not ruled out Ben Stokes's chances of playing in the Third Test against Pakistan. Stokes is to have a scan on a calf injury that occured when he pulled up whilst bowling.

SOUNDBITE (English) Trevor Bayliss, England coach

    (Q. How frustrating is that you might lose Ben Stokes for the next Test?)

"Whenever you lose a good player, mind you he's not out yet, he seems to be moving better than they (medical staff) thought he was going to be, obviously scans tomorrow so we'll know more then, but if he does miss out, it will give someone else an opportunity. He's a big player for us, he adds a lot of spark to the team, he bats, he bowls and he's a leader in the field, so it is a bit of hole, but someone like (Chris) Woakes has done brilliantly so far this season so we're lucky in that respect."
