Meeke has won both the rounds he has entered this season despite being a part-time rally driver.

Craig Breen made it two Citreon's on the podium as he secured third and his maiden podium, An emotional Breen spoke afterwards whilst alluding to the late Colin McRae, a former World Champion from Scotland.

Jari-Matti Latvala, bidding for his third consecutive victory in the FIA World Rally Championship's fastest round could only manage second.

Latvala finished 29.1 seconds behind in a Volkswagen Polo R, his progress dented by a puncture on day one.
