  • 400-metres favourite Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas talked on Thursday (11th August) ahead of her Olympic campaign.

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Shaunae Miller on the conditions in Rio de Janeiro:

    "Erm, well, you know, it's a little bit windy, I realize, but it's just something that we had to get used to. And I'm glad that we got a few days ahead to get used to the climate. I think everyone is ready to go by the time of the meet."

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Shaunae Miller on the effect of winning the silver medal at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing:

    "Well, you know what, it gives me a lot of confidence, you know, coming out, you know, getting second place, it make me wanna push even more in practice. You know, I really put my foot forward this year and I think we got a lot of good work in, so, I'm really excited for it, I've put in a lot of hard work like I said, so we're expecting the best."

    "Well, I got a personal best in Beijing and I just got another personal best in London a few weeks ago, you know, we knew we had a lot more to work on, my coaches, we discussed it and I think we're really ready for Rio (de Janeiro) this time around."
