  • Team GB's Charlotte Dujardin has described her Olympic gold medal as a "huge achievement".

Dujardin successfully defended her individual dressage title after a sizzling performance in Deodoro.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Charlotte Dujardin, dressage gold medallist:

"Yesterday was a really, really emotional day for me. To defend my gold medal from London, for it to all happen again an absolute dream come true."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Charlotte Dujardin, dressage gold medallist:

(On becoming the second British women, after Cycling's Laura Trott, to win three Olympic gold medals):

"It's a huge achievement to have done that, I think Laura Trott will get her four gold medal today (16th August) so that will knock me back down, how amazing for women's sport that we are doing so well, you know we are bringing in the medals as well. I think the whole of Team GB the medals are racking up, we are getting more and more medals. It's great to see as you get into the village and to see the chart in the GB camp, it's just filling with medals silvers, bronze and gold, it's fantastic to be able to see that."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Charlotte Dujardin, dressage gold medallist:

"Yes absolutely, we will try and watch as many sports as we can, we went to the athletics stadium and watched Mo Farah win his gold medal so you know to try to be part of it's a great feeling."
