20-minute spell cost Porto victory - Nuno Espirito Santo

  • Porto coach, Nuno Espirito Santo, was left disappointed after his team were held 1-1 draw by Roma in the play-off round of the UEFA Champions League in Oporto, Portugal

"As I was saying, we had 20 minutes below our expectations and the match was beyond our control and then Roma scored. On the other hand I must say that our reaction was positive, we were doing well coping with the pressure and we also created chances. That's how we want to play in the future. This was the story of this match, we were creating chances and Roma were playing for one goal, even in the first half. That's our cold analysis, 20 minutes below our expectations and 70 minutes of pressure. The result is not what we wanted but we are positive about the second leg of this play-off."
