Late goal earns Germany 2-2 draw with France

Wednesday, November 15 2017 by 7MTV
  • Brilliant and precise football from France - the perect volley from Barcelona's Lucas Digne, the fake from Anthony Martial, the easy finish from Alexandre Lacazette.

Germany were without the likes of Manuel Neuer and Thomas Mueller, but they did have Mesut Oezil and he fed the clinical Timo Werner - it was 1-1 after 56 minutes.

The French have won the last two of these encounters and they went ahead in the 71st minute - Arsenal reserve Lacazette beating the off-side trap and a good finish.

But the germans have a reputation for playing hard to the final whistle and they got the equaliser in the 93rd minute. Lars Stindl wrong-footing Steve Mandanda.

An entertaining 2-2 draw in Cologne.
