RYAN GIGGS has swapped life as Wales manager to become a fitness coach.

With Euro 2020 delayed by 12 months, the Manchester United legend used his time during the coronavirus lockdown to good effect by putting the public through their paces with a series of exercises.

Giggs, 46, delivered the 25-minute work out on a live video through Hotel Football's Instagram in his garage on Monday night.

Giggs, who played for United until he was 40, said at the end of the session: "Well done. I hope you enjoyed it. I'd welcome your feedback. Do we want to do it again?

"Was I rubbish? Or yes, I enjoyed it so let's do it again?

"Remember there is no excuse not to exercise. We just did 25 minutes. No excuse, try and get your exercise in during the day and build it up. Stay home and stay safe."

Giggs and ex-United team-mate Gary Neville have already opened their two Manchester hotels for use by NHS staff.

The 176 beds at Hotel Football and the Stock Exchange are being used free of charge by doctors, nurses and health workers during the crisis.

And Neville has been critical of Premier League clubs for not producing more content to fans as the lockdown enters its third week.

Neville told Sky Sports programme 'The Debate': "I'd love to see a Premier League fitness session from a coach with five players.

"I'd love to see Jurgen Klopp doing a fitness session every day with James Milner, Mo Salah, Firmino. I'd love to see Harry Maguire do one with Rashford, Pogba and Martial.

"I'd love the fans to be able to join in with that session. I'd love there to be a connection between players, the clubs, the fans, the people who love and support the game.

"They are heroes to everybody. They (the Premier League) are not even doing the simple things well.

"I saw James Milner the other week do a 4-4-2 formation with different things in his house, it was really nice to see. I've seen Sergio Aguero playing in his garden with his child doing some skills.

"I see all the chefs on television, all the singers doing listening parties for albums, all the chefs doing cooking demonstrations so why aren't football players connecting with the fans?

"Why aren't we seeing simple content every day that could be thrown out there into our homes that would lift people who are going through difficult times, health, mental health or difficulties with childcare and looking after vulnerable people."
