Belgium enter the European Championship as one of the serious candidates to win the tournament, and can now count on one of the best strikers of all time in Thierry Henry as one of their coaches.
The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Dries Mertens, Eden and Thorgan Hazard, and Michy Batshuayi will be able to call on Henry for guidance with the former Barcelona forward joining Roberto Martinez's coaching team as assistant.
Henry arrived at the Belgium camp on Tuesday afternoon and was greeted with the excellent news about Kevin de Bruyne's recovery, having already started working with the rest of his teammates.
Henry has been part of the Belgium coaching staff in the recent past and his return is a breath of fresh air for the Red Devils going into a major tournament.
Henry was an assistant for the Belgian national team from August 2016 to October 2018. From there he went on to become head coach of Monaco, before heading to Canada with the Montreal Impact where he worked until February 2021.
Now Roberto Martinez welcomes him back to the Belgian setup, forming a crucial part of his backroom staff and a move that will have surely pleased the players.
