ROB EARNSHAW has revealed he and his one-year-old son are lucky to be alive after a motorway smash on Sunday evening.
But the Nottingham Forest striker, 30, will face Swansea in their Championship play-off semi-final, first leg tomorrow.
Welsh ace Earnshaw was driving his Audi R8 on the M42 with little Silva next to him.
He explained: "I was coming back from Wales and there was torrential rain. The car suddenly spun out of control.
"We hit the central reservation and spun across three lanes. If there had been another car coming down, that would have been it.
"We're lucky to be alive. My first thought was for Silva but he was absolutely fine and was not fazed by it all.
"I was a bit shaken up but somehow we managed to walk away from it OK."
Earnshaw paid tribute to a truck driver, who helped at the scene.
He added: "It was lucky he was there. He stopped to redirect traffic — a big thank you to him."
