But a Desperate Scousewives source insisted Sean is a gentleman, saying: "He is quite quiet and everyone was surprised he signed up but Chloe encouraged him."
However, not everyone is impressed by the new show. QPR captain Barton complained his team-mates ridiculed his home city after watching it. He tweeted: "All I could say in defence was that's not what the people r like in L'pool."
Coleen Rooney defended the show, on Mondays at 10pm, as "easy-going, easy-watching TV".
Proud Abbey urged her Twitter followers to watch it, saying: "The show is clearly about fun."
