Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain has hinted at a possible return to his boyhood club River Plate in the future.
The 24-year-old scored 15 goals in 35 league appearances for the Buenos Aires outfit between 2004 and 2006 before making the switch to Madrid in January 2007.
In an interview with ESPN, Higuain admitted to missing life in Argentina and revealed that he would love to wear the colours of River Plate once again.
"I had a short stint at River and it would be rewarding to return," he said.
"I like Argentina. In Spain, there are pretty girls, but I prefer Argentine customs."
The striker also claimed he is a calm presence in the Bernabeu dressing room and praised the qualities of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
He stated: "In the large array of stars at Real Madrid, everything is more complicated, but I am zero trouble, I'm very passive.
"I am privileged to play with these two [Messi and Ronaldo]. I am proud to play with them for the national team and for Madrid."
