Many Premier League clubs crave a new star forward - immediately the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle spring to mind - but Manchester City? Well, few would expect them to be linked with a move for Monaco's Radamel Falcao given the attacking riches they already have.
Indeed, the Colombian striker has been hotly tipped to move to the Gunners but fresh rumours on Saturday suggested Manuel Pellegrini wanted to sign the 28-year-old despite already boasting four excellent forwards in Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Stevan Jovetic and Alvaro Negredo.
Rival supporters were astonished the Blues could add yet even more firepower to their squad and some even admitted defeat in the Premier League title race.
With 'Falcao to City' trending, some cheeky Leicester and Norwich fans even suggested they be luring the striker to their club.
