Peterborough denied late winner in Walsall draw

High-flying Peterborough were denied a late winner as they came from behind to draw 1-1 at Walsall.
Gwion Edwards' 71st-minute strike cancelled out former Posh man Erhun Oztumer's opener before Junior Morias looked to have won it for United - but the officials ruled it offside after a lengthy delay.
Only the woodwork prevented Walsall going ahead after nine minutes as Oztumer saw a dipping 25-yard volley hit the crossbar.
He had better luck after 37 minutes, lashing Walsall in front from 15 yards at Jonathan Bond's near post after the Posh goalkeeper pushed away Luke Leahy's 20-yard strike.
The Saddlers almost doubled their lead 10 minutes after the break but were thwarted by the woodwork for a second time as Shaun Donnellan's glancing header hit the post from a corner.
Peterborough levelled after 71 minutes as Edwards' bicycle kick from a Chris Forrester cross flew into the ground and up and over stranded keeper Mark Gillespie.
Then came the controversy - 12 minutes from time - as Posh substitute Morias poked home Marcus Maddison's cross but after initially giving the goal, the officials conferred and ruled it out for offside.
