Gary Mackenzie scored the winning goal as St Mirren fought back after going two down to beat Queen of the South 3-2 at Palmerston Park.
Queens raced to a two-goal lead within seven minutes after Stephen Dobbie opened the scoring in the first minute, with his 100th goal for the club, before he set up Chris Kane to slide in the second.
St Mirren pulled one back in the 19th minute when former Queens striker Gavin Reilly made the most of a defensive mix-up to slot home before he drew the game level 10 minutes before half-time after bursting through the Buddies' defence to score another.
Lewis Morgan went close for St Mirren after the break when his shot flew just over the bar but Mackenzie found the back of the net in the 67th minute with a header to seal an impressive comeback for the Ladbrokes Championship leaders.
