Shrewsbury suffering injury woes ahead of Blackpool clash

Shrewsbury boss John Askey has a number of injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s home game with Blackpool in League One.
Defender James Bolton, midfielder Ollie Norburn and forward Aaron Amadi-Holloway are all doubtful for the game at Montgomery Waters Meadow.
Right-back Bolton and new signing Norburn both suffered dead legs during Tuesday’s Carabao Cup reverse against Burton, with Norburn limping off injured for the second time in his two Shrewsbury games so far.
Amadi-Holloway is struggling with a groin injury sustained at Charlton last weekend.
Blackpool interim boss Terry McPhillips is happy to remain in the job for now as the club’s search for a new manager continues following Gary Bowyer’s resignation.
McPhillips made eight changes for the midweek Carabao Cup win over Barnsley and saw several players stake a claim to retain their places against Shrewsbury.
Defender Michael Nottingham was among those to do so after scoring his first goal for the club and playing the full 90 minutes. Curtis Tilt also featured in that game after being omitted from the first two league matches following his submission of a transfer request.
Long-term injury victims Jimmy Ryan (knee) and Ryan McLaughlin (hamstring) remain sidelined.
