Charlton fight back to earn a replay against Mansfield

Despite a 12th game unbeaten, League Two side Mansfield Town face an FA Cup replay at the Valley after drawing 1-1 at home to Charlton Athletic.
Mansfield took the lead in the 45th minute as CJ Hamilton skipped away down the left from Mal Benning’s pass and raced to the edge of the box where he found the net with a crisp low shot off the inside of the far post.
Hamilton had earlier clipped the outside of the near post, Neal Bishop had a shot well saved by Dillion Phillips and Krystian Pearce saw Darren Pratley clear his header off the line from a corner.
But Charlton had played their part in an end-to-end half and should have been ahead in the 14th minute when, after great work on the left by Karlan Grant, George Lapslie sidefooted his finish wide from six yards.
The visitors improved in a less frenetic second half and were level after 74 minutes when Toby Stevenson turned a low cross over the line from point blank range.
A minute later keeper Bobby Olejnik denied Nicky Ajose in a one-on-one that almost turned the game on its head.
