Accrington boss John Coleman must decide whether to change a winning side as Stanley return to home comforts on Boxing Day after two gruelling away trips.
Coleman made only one switch for Saturday’s 3-0 win at Plymouth, Seamus Conneely replacing Offrande Zanzala from the XI that lost 3-0 at Southend, and it may be that he keeps faith with a similar line-up against Shrewsbury.
If Coleman does decide to freshen things up, the likes of Scott Brown, Ross Sykes, Connor Hall and Zanzala could could into the reckoning.
Striker Andy Mangan will also be hoping his return to action is not too far away having not played since October due to injury.
Defender Omar Beckles could return to the Shrewsbury squad after being rested for the 1-0 win over Coventry due to a niggle.
Ryan Haynes came into side against his former club and he should be fine to feature again despite limping off during the second half, with manager Sam Ricketts suggesting it was only cramp.
Experienced winger Shaun Whalley could be out for up to four weeks after suffering a hamstring injury during last week’s draw with Peterborough.
Whalley had only recently recovered from a calf injury that kept him sidelined for more than a month.
