Manchester United have entered the battle to sign Birmingham forward Che Adams.

As reported earlier, Arsenal and Celtic both sent scouts to watch the striker against Watford last Tuesday.

However, the Daily Mirror now claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United have shown interest in the 22-year-old.

Adams recently scored in six Championship games on the trot, taking his tally to 19 for the season, and is said to have attracted bids of up to £9million from Burnley back in January.

15:45 UPDATE: Arsenal slammed

Arsenal letting Aaron Ramsey leave for free in the summer is "frightening", claims former Gunner Steve Sidwell.

"The Aaron Ramsey situation is just frightening," Sidwell told talkSPORT.

"They've backed themselves into a corner with the wages they're paying Ozil – and even that saga was a strange one – and they've got to let him [Ramsey] go now.

"They're slowly becoming a selling club where their best players are leaving, and if they don't buck their ideas up they are really going to fall short of top-four football."

United have had scouts monitoring his progress all season.

PSG are keeping tabs on Arsenal's midfield sensation Matteo Guendouzi.

The France Under-21 international has impressed at the Emirates this season and PSG have been scouting him ahead a potential summer move.

Unai Emery he has been told that he can raise money by selling players like Mesut Ozil to boost his kitty and might therefore consider cashing in on Guendouzi.

14:00 UPDATE: Giggs on Solskjaer

Man Utd should appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their next manger, Ryan Giggs claims.

"I wouldn't be in any rush because you don't want to derail the current situation," he said.

"Planning is more important than the announcement. Look at Guardiola. He got in Man City players he wanted the year before he took over.

"So, if it is Ole, keep it amongst the club and start planning. Our problem the past few years is that we were always playing catch-up.

"We should identify the two or three players we need if we're going to win the Premier League and Champions League."

The title-chasing Reds announced record annual pre-tax profits of £125million during the week.

It came as reports surfaced that Juventus are ready to offer Argentine striker Paulo Dybala plus £44m to take Salah back to Serie A.

A football finance source told Express Sport: "Liverpool are no longer a selling club. After posting profits of £125m they can resist any offers."

13:15 UPDATE: Arsenal identify Ozil replacement

Arsenal are lining up Bayer Leverkusen sensation Kai Havertz as a potential replacement of Mesut Ozil.

Havertz, 19, is one of the most highly-rated attacking midfielders in Europe and has been attracting interest from both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

However, Italian media outlet Calciomercato claim Arsenal are determined to land him as they search for life without Ozil.

"Who is my best player? If I'm Zinedine Zidane and I'm evaluating the team, who's my best player? Well that's Eden Hazard.

"Is he even going to be at the team? So why would I want to be part of this when my best player is walking out the door?"

"A lot of talk [over a January move] but it was quickly made clear that the club still saw me as someone who would play.

"Of course thats really nice to hear so I just have to keep proving my self. I think I've been good the last few times I've got the chance and then I can only hope that I'll be selected more often."
