AFC Fylde’s promotion hopes suffered a setback as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Boreham Wood.
Neill Byrne’s finish looked set to earn Fylde their third win in row, but Jamal Fyfield levelled in the second half after Bradley Ash’s penalty was saved.
Fylde dropped to fifth in the Vanarama National League table, just three points ahead of Eastleigh in eighth.
The visitors went in front in scrappy fashion in the 17th minute.
A shot from Tom Crawford was miscued into the path of an unmarked Byrne, who picked out the bottom corner.
Fylde were in control, but they could not add to their lead and were pegged back in the 57th minute.
Justin Shaibu went down in the area to earn his side a penalty and, even though Jay Lynch kept out Ash’s effort, Fyfield followed up to tuck home the rebound.
Neither side could find a winner as the spoils were shared.
