Port Vale earned a second straight victory in Sky Bet League Two as they earned a comfortable 3-0 win over fellow strugglers Yeovil at Vale Park.
John Askey’s Vale were in front on 26 minutes when Manny Oyeleke powered a header in to the bottom right corner following David Worrall’s floated corner from the right.
Later chances fell for the hosts, with goalkeeper Nathan Baxter keeping out efforts from Luke Hannant and Luke Joyce.
After the break, Alex Dobre could only guide his low drive straight at Valiants stopper Scott Brown, as Darren Way’s Glovers looked for an equaliser.
Tom Conlon doubled Vale’s lead after 62 minutes as he rifled a left-footed effort from 25 yards which dipped under the crossbar past Baxter.
Vale scored their third through substitute Cristian Montano after 84 minutes, turning in left footed from inside the six-yard box when Worrall’s right-sided free-kick found its way to the back post.
The hosts move eight points above the relegation zone, while Yeovil stay 22nd, four points ahead of the drop zone.
