Chelsea have had a strange old season despite reaching two cup finals and finishing this in the Premier League.

The Blues may well end the season with some silverware if they beat Arsenal in the Europa League final, with the added bonus of inflicting another year in the competition on their London rivals.

Yet Sarri has had to contest with an unhappy fanbase who have regularly called for the Italian to be axed.

Reports have emerged that the former Napoli boss is attracting the attention of a number of Serie A clubs such as Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma.

Furthermore, reports a little closer to home have revealed that Chelsea will sack Sarri regardless of the result in Baku next Wednesday night.

And the former banker was in no mood to entertain such a notion, daring his bosses to wield the axe now if they were unhappy.

Asked whether he needs to win the Europa League title to save his position, Sarri said: "If the situation is like this then I want to go immediately.

"After 10 months of work then I have to play for everything in 90 minutes. It is not the right way. You are either happy with my work or not.

"This season is a good season, of course, if we win the Europa League it will become a wonderful season.

"I think this group deserves to continue to try to improve more."

Sarri has one year left on his contract after replacing Antonio Conte last summer, and the 60-year-old revealed he intends to talk about his future at the end of the season with the club.

"We had a very good season but we need to do more and improve," he added. "I don't know what to say about the market, my future is the final.

"I am not able to think about next season or more. My feeling is that for our group this final is very important.

"I have two years of my contract here.

"I have no contract with other clubs. I have to speak with my club after the final. I want to know if they are happy with me."
