Dundee United moved 13 points clear at the top of the Ladbrokes Championship after a hard-earned 1-0 win at Arbroath.
Sam Stanton gave the visitors an early lead in the sixth minute following a scramble from a free-kick.
Tangerines stopper Benji Siegrist made a couple of smart saves to keep his side in front at half-time.
Nicky Clark had the chance to make it 2-0 in the 54th minute when he was brought down in the penalty area by Derek Gaston, but the Arbroath keeper redeemed himself by saving the spot kick.
Red Lichties’ defender Thomas O’Brien saw his late header tipped over by Siegrist as Dundee United made it eight straight league wins to extend their lead ahead of Inverness, who lost at Partick.
