The third day of the last America's Cup World Series event at newport USA took place on Saturday, with Jimmy Spithill's Oracle Team USA cruising their way to a sizeable lead.

They won by a significant margin after a good start left the American's team at top speed through the starting line.

Fleet race four was a much more dramatic affair, even though the start saw Spithill once again attempt to exert an early dominance.

But this time Dean Barker's Emirates Team New Zealand found a favourable path up the shoreline to take the lead.

Oracle Team USA and Spithill recovered to finish third in fleet race four.

Sailing on Sunday will start with the deciding match race final between the two Oracle Team USA crews.
