Switzerland was hosting the last beach volleyball would tour stop before London 2012 and the finals were taking place on Saturday.

Local favourites Simone Kuhn and Nadine Zumkehr were battling Belgium's Katrien Gielen and Liesbeth Mouha for the Bronze medal.

And to the crowd's delight, they sealed the win in straight sets, 21-18, 21-16 in a match that lasted 36 minutes.

Meanwhile Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Traenor warmed up for the summmer's Games by clinching their first tour win.

The two-time Olympic gold medalists won the title after beating fifth-seeded pair Sanne Keizer and Marleen Van Iersel and it only took them 32 minutes.

Walsh and May-Traenor gained the first set 21-10 before clinching gold with a 21-13 victory in the second.

SOUNDBITE (English): Kerri Walsh, Gold medal winner
"You know, Kerri (Walsh) and I would probably say that we're not playing good enough. We want to keep getting better. But that's what we expect from ourselves. We want to come out and we want to show the world what we're made of. I thought we kept getting stronger throughout the event and the finals, I mean, I am so proud of us. I am so proud of how we've been doing."

Walsh and May-Traenor will now return home, but they'll be back in Europe soon for the real deal.
