The main highlight on day two of the Glorious Goodwood festival was the Sussex Stakes.

Frankel was the clear favourite in the four-horse field, given odds of 1-20 on the back of an 11-race unbeaten run.

A crowd of around 25,000 spectators watched Frankel's half-brother Bullet Train set the early pace.

But with two furlongs to go, jockey Tom Queally urged Frankel into the lead and the final result was never in doubt.

The Prince Khalid Abdullah-owned horse went on to win his second successive Sussex Stakes by six lengths from Farhh.

Gabrial finished in third place, with Bullet Train bringing up the rear.

Extending his winning run to 12 races, Frankel became only the second colt to win seven consecutive group one races, equalling the record that Rock of Gibraltar set in 2002.
