In the course racing event, Italy's Riccardo Leccese emerged victorious, finishing the event in first place.
German Florian Gruber finished in second ahead of France's Maxime Nocher, who suffered a crash in the closing straight and finished third, while Julien Kemeur of France finished in fourth.
There was a feel-good atmosphere surrounding the event, which took place only a week after the conclusion of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Kitesurfing is set to feature as an Olympic sport in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
The next stop on the Kitesurf European Tour is set to take place in Nantes in France later this year.
