Script:
Alex Carella moved level with Sami Selio at the top of the Driver Standings, on 44 points, after the Italian won the Grand Prix of China on Wednesday.
The two-time World Champion won for the second straight year on the Liu River, as he finished 1.45 seconds ahead of Selio.
Selio had crashed out of the China Grand Prix in his last two attempts at the race, so he will be no doubt be relieved to have avoided a repeat.
Philippe Chiappe of CTIC China Team completed the podium places, 3.84 seconds behind Carella.
Thani Al Qamzi of Team Abu Dhabi started from sixth on the grid and finished with an impressive fourth in his back-up boat.
Carella and Selio share the lead in the overall standings, and Frenchman Chiappe sits five points adrift in third.
The next race in the U.I.M. F1H2O World Championship is the Grand Prix of Qatar, which takes place on the 22nd and 23rd of November in Doha.
