The final of the Monsoon Cup - the sixth and final event on the 2013 Alpari World Match Racing Tour - was contested in Malaysia on Saturday.

Ian Williams headed into the decider knowing that a victory for his GAC Pindar team over Phil Robertson and WAKA Racing would secure the Briton's fifth world title.

However, Robertson's crew came out on top, claiming a 3-0 win and the Monsoon Cup title.

WAKA Racing celebrated on the water while their actions were mirrored on the shore by the crew of USone.

Victory for New Zealand's Robertson secured a maiden Alpari World Match Racing Tour title for USone skipper Taylor Canfield - the winner of last year's Monsoon Cup.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Taylor Canfield, Winner of the Alpari World Match Racing Tour:

"Unbelievable. It's.... here it is and, it's unfortunate that we had to rely on Phil Robertson to win it for us, but hey, that's how the tour works, and we're just happy to have won it."
