The final race in the Aquabike World Championship took place in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

Portuguese rider Tiago Sousa looked set to be crowned overall World Champion in the Ski event when he finished third in both races, ahead of Alberto Monti.

But there was drama when both riders were later disqualified. This meant that Frenchman Mickael Poret, who'd finished second in both races in Abu Dhabi, became World Champion.

In the Runabout GP1 event there was disaster for championship leader Cyrille Lemoine, as he stopped on lap 10 of 16 in race one.

That paved the way for Yousef Al Abdulrazzaq to take full advantage, winning the race and the title.

And in the freestyle event Slovenia's Rok Florjancic won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix title, to maintain his record of maximum points at each Grand Prix in 2013.
