    Script:

A great day Great Britain as Tom Daley and Rebecca Gallantree won world championship gold in the mixed team diving in Kazan Russia,

Daley, who won the 10-metre individual title in 2009, was in great form from the high board and executed his dives brilliantly. Gallantree excelled on the 3m board.

Diving second out of the 14 duos, they had a nervous wait.

Ukraine's team charged through in the last round to snatch silver ahead of China who were relegated to bronze. That meant the Russian hosts were denied a medal in fourth place. But it was Daley and Gallantree on top of the podium celebrating their gold medal success.

Russia did, though, win a gold in synchronised swimming.

Natalia Ishchenko - who didn't compete in the last world championships after having a baby won her 18th world title with a stunning performance set to a soundtrack from "Paganini: The Devil's Violinist".

China's Huang Huechen won silver with Ona Carbonell of Spain securing bronze.
